Rounded Characters

Ah, what an unfortunate fate! In a classic crime drama with a real catharsis, bad guys tend to come back but always with a different face.
Thus, there is no hope of seeing Michelle Forbes in the third season of Durham County, which has just been confirmed to go into production this fall.

The Gemini Award-winning series Durham County starring Hugh Dillon (Flashpoint) also goes into production in fall 2009 for a third season. Durham County (season 2) premieres on July 13, 2009 on Movie Central and The Movie Network.

DURHAM COUNTY (SEASON 3)

Muse Entertainment Enterprises and Back Alley Film Productions present the third season of Durham County. Detective Mike Sweeney has joined a task force that is investigating the brutal murder of two young boys who were drug runners. While Mike's family life flourishes, tragedy strikes and his grief forces him to solve a heinous crime that could implicate a friend and confidant. Produced by Janis Lundman, Adrienne Mitchell, Michael Prupas and Laurie Finstad Knizhnik; the series writers are Laurie Finstad Knizhnik and Bruce M. Smith.

The virtues of a good guy/ a good woman can be so compelling, intriguing, multi-layered, tantalizing, sublime, troubled, thrilling, weak and strong, gripping, fascinating, surprising, complex and heartbreaking. I'd love to see Michelle picking such a role. Some day.

P.S. There are no bad guys or good guys, only 'rounded characters'? This assumption is a result of the postmodernism that died 20 years ago. But maybe that's just me.
